Fun Life Pictures

Hey everybody! In my Bible Study,our leader has been reading some verses and then having us draw what comes to mind when we hear that scripture. Here are some pictures which I believe really reveal what's in my heart. Enjoy!

Hebrews 12:-1-2" Let us run with perservance marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith."...In the picture I'm in a wheelchair. I'm going to stand up and run into the arms of Jesus. He'll say, "Well done my good and faithful servant. Welcome Home." What a great day that will be!









Mark 2:17: Jesus said, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners." I volunteer at my local hosptial. I'm known as the "Patient Visitations" volunteer. I deliver magazines and talk to the patients for a while if they feel like talking.  As I go into the rooms, in the back of my mind, I wonder about the patients I'm visiting. I wonder about their souls. Where are their priorities? Do they even know about Jesus? If they were to die right now, are they ready to meet him? The happy girl in the picture is me. I'm representing the sick patient and Jesus is the doctor.



In Mark Chapter 14, Jesus is Annoited with oil in Bethany. In  Mark 14:6-9,  the Bible says:
“Why this waste of perfume? It could have been sold for more than a year’s wages and the money given to the poor.” And they rebuked her harshly.


“Leave her alone,” said Jesus. “Why are you bothering her? She has done a beautiful thing to me. The poor you will always have with you, and you can help them any time you want. But you will not always have me. She did what she could. She poured perfume on my body beforehand to prepare for my burial. Truly I tell you, wherever the gospel is preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told, in memory of her."

The candle, the chocolate chip cookies and the sheet of chocolate, are all things that I love. When I smell those things, my nose immediately says, where's that coming from? I want more. The symbols in the picture represent that as Christians, we should be be leaving a sweet fragrance for Christ. There are so many bad stories out there about Christians, that we need to do our best to give the world a positive picture of Christ. Even if you're not the person who actually leads someone to Christ, we want to give them something to remember us by-to think about later. Hopefully, when they're ready to accept Jesus as their savior, they will remember something we did or said that helped guide them in that direction. What kind of fragrance are you leaving for Christ?
 

Read the story of the praylyzed man in Mark Chapter 2.
Here's part of it. Verses 11 and 12 Jesus says,
 “I tell you, get up, take your mat and go home.” He got up, took his mat and walked out in full view of them all. This amazed everyone and they praised God, saying, “We have never seen anything like this!”

This is my earthly body in my wheelchair.

Here's me in my brand new body dancing in heaven.

The castle represents the kingdom of God. Those who follow the teachings of Christ and take the Bible seriously are considered Christ followers-people who are part of the kingdom of God. The fisherman represents what we should be doing as Christians. He's going to go out into the world and find someone who doesn't know Christ as theie personal savior.  Then, he's going to "reel" them into the kingdom of God.

  In Mark Chapter 1: 14-18 the Bible says, "Now after John had been taken into custody, Jesus came into Galilee preaching the gospel of God, and saying,
"The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel."
As He was going along by the Sea of Galilee, He saw Simon and Andrew, the brother of Simon, casting a net in the sea; for they were fishermen. And Jesus said to them, "Follow Me, and I will make you become fishers of men."
Immediately they left their nets and followed Him."
